When our adopted cat Orange was still new with us, we first thought it´s a girl. We couldn´t see the balls because it´s still a baby and that led us to think that we got a female cat. But what mesmerized us was its interest on football. Whenever my husband´s watching football on TV, our cat´s also watching.
Sometimes he´d content himself on lying on the floor watching, something he´d sit close to the television, and sometimes he´d climb on the TV´s stand.
When after five days and nobody was looking for him, we brought our cat to the vet and it´s when we found out that he´s a tomcat. That must have explained his shared interest in sports with his dad.
Our cat is also fascinated with animal planet shows. That´s not surprising, I guess. But what captivates me is that he actually can actually enjoy watching TV as long as the show interests him.
Did you know that cats like hunting and killing birds? It´s hard to think that our sweet, cuddly cat is a killer. But it´s a fact. That must explain why Orange was so engrossed watching the birds on TV.
I noticed that lions, leopards, and crocodiles really grab my cat´s attention. If for example a crocodile is swimming in the river and his direction is from left to right, Orange´s heads moves in similar direction. If the crocodile is out of view, hd climb on the TV and check at its back, right side, if the crocodile is hiding there. It´s funny to see.
While resting on the sofa one lazy Sunday afternoon, I and hubby fell asleep. When I woke up, this is what I saw. Orange watching TV, the show was about penquins´ survival in winter.
[…] He loved hiding under the plants. Have I told you that this boy loves playing hide and seek? Oh, that´s another story. This cat also loves watching TV. […]
