I and my cat, Orange. He makes me and my husband really happy.
Hi, I´m Glee. Welcome to Pet Love Land, a place for cats and dogs lovers to get inspired. I´ll also give tips on how to take care of and spoil your cats and dogs.
My Husband´s Dogs
My husband grew up with his dogs, Jackie and Goldie, which were both very doting female dogs. Before I met my husband, his dog, Jackie, was already gone due to an ovarian cancer. She also had broken hips which were caused by an accident when she was still a puppy. It never healed and it was always painful when touched. She couldn´t run and jump which led to her getting fat. But she was a very pretty girl and everyone adored her.
My husband´s late lovely dogs, Jackie and Goldie. Both were twelve-year olds when an ovarian cancer and a heart failure took their lives.
Goldie, on the other hand, wasn´t as sweet and pretty as Jackie but she was smart and adventurous. When Jackie died Goldie became lonely and shortly, she contacted a heart disease. My husband did everything to save her, spent hundreds of euros for her heart surgery and further medications, but his vet advised him to let Goldie go for saving her further would only mean prolonging her agonies. She was put to rest in the spring of 2009.
The first time I had a dog was when I was twelve. Since then, I spent most of my life with dogs. My family and I love dogs. Although I have no pictures of all the dogs my family had, I can picture them out clearly in my head. I remember all those beautiful moments when I slept on a hammock and my dog´s by my side, or the sad, painful moments when my dogs got sick and died. Each of them left many picture-perfect memories in my heart.
Our New Pet
Right now, we´re blessed with a new pet. Orange is a heaven sent. My husband found him in a sidewalk on a cold winter morning. He was sick and thin when we got him but now he´s doing pretty well. You will be hearing plenty about him in this blog. He´s the center of our world and he makes us so happy. He´s five months old.
